ER trip #2 and other updates

Yes...it was only a few days shy of 2 months ago that we had the pleasure of visiting the newly opened Johnston County, NC ER and yet we just couldn't stay away and felt the need to make another trip.

Emily, again, got 3 stitches. This time in the eyebrow above her right eye. She fell in the bathtub and hit the edge producing a nice gash. Hopefully she will listen the first time we tell her to NOT
use the bathtub as a slide since after the 4th time, this was the end result.

This trip was only 2 hours though so that is progress! Here is a picture of the finished product.

We did have a happy beginning to the weekend though. Emily graduated from Pre-K! Here are some pictures. Watch out kindergarten, here we come!!

Noah was busy during both episodes so I didn't get any pictures of him but here is one of the entire family from E's graduation.

We also took a trip to TopSail Beach for the day on Memorial Day weekend. It was a great trip.

Here are some pictures of the kids having fun and just posing for me to take pictures and one of Emily's T-Ball - where she actually caught the ball and threw it (instead of playing in the grass/sand and letting them go by)
Noah and Elsie and Emily and Nikki
.
Noah loves to help me cook and since my glasses were right on the counter that day...he decided that cooking is cool and he wanted to look the part.
As always, we hope that God continues to Bless you as he continues to Bless us. We are thankful that Emily's injuries were minimal and that she only needed stiches even though, we prefer to not go down this path a third time.
Gretchen, Mike, Emily, Noah, Nikki, and Elsie and all the other creatures we've found lately (2 snakes, 1 mice, a few roaches, countless mosquitos, moths, bees, beetles, etc.) Gotta love summer in the south!

Looks like you might need to know my little secret. With 4 boys, I have used this one often! When my kids get cuts that need stitches, I disinfect the wound really well, and then superglue it shut. 5 minutes later they are eating a popsicle and watching a movie - minimal drama! A lot of times, this is all they do in the ER anyway. Hope she gets feeling better soon - that's quite a bump!!
