Merry Christmas!

May the joy of our Savior fill you through the coming year.

We are really enjoying this Christmas time with the kids. Emily is starting to understand the birth of Jesus and the Nativity stories and we've watched movies on the Story of Christmas and His birth and the excitement in her eyes and the understanding (well, somewhat) is amazing to witness. She has been carrying around her own baby Jesus for about a week. She plays dress up and she is Mary - with Noah's blanket on her head and makes me an angel, Daddy the wise men, and Noah Joseph. Pretty interesting pretend play, but very heartwarming all the same.

Santa came to visit the Daycare on Friday, Dec. 18 and the kids had their class Christmas parties. Emily's class did a nice performance of about 3 songs and some hand bells and intruments to accompany one of them. I'll spare you the video, but it was very cute, although loud! Noah wasn't too sure of Santa, and was a little grumpy because they scheduled the party to start when they are usually waking up from thier naps. He tried to get down off Santa's lap, and then they gave him a candy cane and he was good to go! He kept going back thinking Santa would give him another candy cane. I guess he inherited my sweet tooth!

Here are some updated pictures of the house from Saturday, Dec. 19.

The insulation went in yesterday and I guess the sheet rock is going up today! We picked out the cabinets last night and are meeting with the flooring people on Wed. Moving right along! Somehow, we seem to stay busy with the side projects all related to the house, but the dogs get to run and the kids get to play in the mud also known as our lot.
We really do hope and pray that all of you have a safe and happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
God Bless,
Gretchen, Mike, Emily, Noah, Nikki, and Elsie
