4 hours on Sat in the ER = 3 stitches!

That would be Emily! So, we made it 5 years without going to the ER and on Saturday, made our first trip, for 4 hours to the local ER resulting in 3 stitches.

We went to a friend of Mike's- well, co-worker, to borrow a tractor implement for the garden. It was a PITA, didn't fit on the utility trailer, etc.

They have a very sweet dog - Lab mix. Emily kept chasing the dog and just loves them - too much! She kept getting under our trailer - which both Mike and I told her NOT to do about 20 times. AND I kept telling her to leave the dog alone...so needles too say, she crawled under there with the dog - to give him a hug goodbye she later told me and the dog growled/snapped/pawed - not really sure but she does have what seems to be 3-4 scratch lines on the side of her head...but on her retreat out from under the trailer b/c she was so scared...she banged her head up with all the pieces underneath the trailer.

We are pretty sure the cut was from the trailer...it's too clean to be a dog bite and Mike and the guy's wife both saw her face plant into a metal piece under the trailer. I just saw her bump the back of her head trying to back out. She bled quite a bit, but once it was cleaned up, it wasn't so bad. It looked much better yesterday and looks great today. Just a couple of scratches on the side of her forehead (I think this is from the dog) and the stiches on the side of her nose look clean. So, big adventure.

Do you think she learned her lesson this time? I'm still thinking no. WE did give her a good lecture about listening and doing what you are told though. "We tell you so you won't get hurt, not because we don't want you to have fun."
