Wow, it's here. I was a little depressed, a little excited, but mostly exhausted. Noah turned 1. There, I said it. I'm moving on. WAHHHH....my baby is 1. Hard to swallow. We flew to CA for the event. It was interesting, not too terrible, but not great. We all survived and everyone survived us. Therapy bills are coming in slowly, but so far, not too bad!
Here are some series shots of the cake...
Noah did come home with pink eye and a double ear infection so that can help explain some of his mood while we were there.
Noah is weighing in at just over 23 lbs and is 30 inches long. (Emily weighed in at 38 lbs with clothes and shoes) His ears are still bulging as of today (1 week on Amoxicillin) so they said go the full 10 days and make an appt next week to check them. He's sleeping fine so I guess that is a good sign.
Noah is transitioning this week to the 1 year old classroom at school. So far, he is doing well, but I think he only has been up there for about 2 hours each day and we are only on day 2. I'm waiting for a full day in there with only 1 nap and a table and chairs for meals.
Noah got a choo choo popper for his birthday, a CAT dump truck ride on toy, a push the top and inside spins thing and some blocks. Here is his new ride...

Emily finished TLG dance and we started gymnastics for the session. She likes it, but wants to take dance too now. Ummm, NO. She is still doing church choir and mission friends on Wed nights.
We did get our first snow, about 5-6 inches, on Jan 20. Noah loved it until he got his hands in it and then screamed until I got him inside and undressed and his hands under some warm water. Emily made snow angels and ran around in it like the crazy girl she is! The dogs loved it, shakes, not so much. It closed things down for 2 days and it took about 5 to totally melt off. Big deal for this CA girl! Weather is saying there might be more tomorrow, but I'll believe it when I see it.
Shakes had a brush with the death vet. He had a blocked urinary tract (second one in 2 years) and it is costly to unblock and even more money to "fix" the problem. Neither option really works for us so we did the "ghetto" unblock and that was the cheapest option other than putting him down. Mike and I both felt terrible at the thought of putting the cat down because he can't pee, but life is life and either we all eat, or we fix the cat. We fixed him this time, but next time, we might have to put him down. He's being so nice now knowing he is on borrowed time. I really hope it is another 2 years before we have to think about it again.
Well, I guess I should wrap this up. As always, we hope God continues to bless all of you as he has and continues to bless us. We miss everyone!

I'll leave you with one last picture...Mike will probably think twice before he buys Emily a roll of pink duct tape again....

Happy Birthday Noah. Wow that flew by huh?
Love the pink duct tape, very chic!
Happy Birthday Noah!
The pink duct tape looks like something Hunter would do. I bout him some wall stickers for his room, and he had them all over himself, and the table and floor, ugh.
