The Resort we stayed at was nice (http://www.brunswickvillas.com/) and pet friendly. They had the usual rules, but it was fairly empty this time of year so no hassles. There were some nice houses around there to look at as well. We stayed in an apartment type facility so there was a pool there, although it was a little too cold for longer than the 10-15 min stay we attempted on Saturday.
The Beach itself was nice, not very crowded, but more people than our trip to TopSail last year for the day.
Here are some pics:
Welcome to Sunset Beach, NC!
Emily dug right in and Noah was happy to just hang out for awhile...
The dogs just lazed around once they got tired of running around and in and out of the water (Nikki is on the left and Elsie is on the right - in the front)
Here's my disclaimer....Sunset Beach does not allow dogs on the beach during 8AM and 6 PM Memorial Day through Labor Day and all other times they are to be on a leash. The first part of this rule is why I won't make Sunset Beach our permanent beach and the second...they are technically ON a leash...I'm just not holding it the entire time!
Here is a picture of my family (minus fat cat) at the beach! It was warm despite the overcast, but not hot so it was a great day. The water was warm too!
Noah's first time in the Atlantic Ocean
Although I think he and Emily had more fun eating, I mean playing in the sand
Does anyone know how much sand a kid can eat before it's a bad thing? Just curious.
Finally, after a hard day playing at the beach, and about another hour or so goofing around instead of going to bed, my angels drift peacefully off to sleep!
Now back to reality. You can only access Sunset Beach via bridge. There is a small, wooden planked one lane bridge going to the island and Emily loved this part. She is currently obsessed with going over bridges.
Emily is still doing TLG dance and church children's choir and Noah is all over the place and starting to climb. We never stop!

cute pics!
Kendra is also obsessed with going over bridges! Luckily there are quite a few small bridges here, so she's always thrilled when we're out driving somewhere.
